Dr. Kamat began her training in medicine in India. She graduated from her medical school with top honors and went on to complete her residency in ENT surgery from Kasturba Medical College. After moving to the U.S. she completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Texas Tech University, Amarillo, TX.
Dr. Kamat is board certified in Internal Medicine and enjoys practicing both outpatient and inpatient medicine. She is a dedicated physician with an extremely strong work ethic and an avid reader. Dr. Kamat received the George Kollmar award from VA, Amarillo for concern and compassionate caring for patients and their families.
She likes to keep herself up-to-date on current medical practices to provide the best care to her patients. Dr. Kamat speaks fluent English, Hindi and multiple dialects from India. She is currently working on her Spanish. Dr. Kamat is married and blessed with a daughter. She likes to relax with her family, enjoys watching movies and reading.
